Checking In

What have I been up to lately?  Well, my due diligence report is forthcoming.  Stay tuned.

Until then, here are some odds and ends:

1.  Last week (Monday – Thursday), I had the flu.  It started with all-day sleepiness, followed by head to toe body aches, especially in my back and obliques.  This made the much desired sleep difficult.  Also, a 12-pound cat with a Need To Knead (and an attraction to warm bodies under fauxchilla blankets) does NOT, repeat NOT, feel good on an achy body.  It fucking hurts.  Rory can’t take a hint, either.  Push kneading cat off achy body, wait two minutes, and repeat 300 times over the next two days.

More highlights:

Monday night, I wanted some juice soooooo bad.  I knew there was some in the fridge, too, but it didn’t matter.  There was no way I could get to it.

On Tuesday, I got out of bed just long enough to feed the cats and get that glass of juice.  By the time I was walking back to the bedroom, I felt so lightheaded I thought I was going to pass out.  Tuesday night, I had a fever.  This I astutely figured out after repeatedly turning down the thermostat, eventually tearing off my pajamas in bed, and still waking up in a sweat.  Good times.

2.  I met a lizard named Nifty last weekend.

3.  Bobby Brown was arrested a couple of nights ago at Sandy’s daughter’s high school in Massachusetts.  He was there to watch one of his daughters in a cheerleading competition.  It seems that Loser Father of the Year owes some child support.  But hey, points for being involved in your child’s activities, right?  I’m sure the girl loved having her dad get arrested in front of her friends.

“My parents are taking me out for pizza and ice cream later. Can you come with us?”

“Uh, no.  I have to post bail for my dad.  Maybe next time.”
